Unfortunately, there are many reckless drivers on the roads. Throughout my career as a Washington wrongful death lawyer and Bellevue auto accident attorney, I have been advising people to watch out for these drivers. However, sometimes there is little we can do to avoid a car accident.

This weekend, a speeding vehicle injured five people when it crashed in a 7-Eleven parking lot. The multiple-car collision took place at around 8:30 p.m. Saturday night.

A red Pontiac Sedan was traveling northbound on Aurora Avenue. The driver of the vehicle sped into the parking lot and hit a car, causing a chain reaction of collisions.

Of the five victims, two were taken to Northwest Hospital and three to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle. We are glad to report there were no life-threatening injuries.

After the car accident, the driver attempted to flee the scene on foot. However, police soon caught the man.

Witnesses say the passenger of the vehicle appeared drunk when he stepped out of the car. Apparently, he wasn’t wearing shoes.
