Man is Killed in NY Motorcycle Accident | Seattle Motorcycle Crash Lawyer
As a Seattle motorcycle accident lawyer and Washington wrongful death attorney, I have seen the damage left by dozens of motorcycle accidents. They continue to be the most devastating traffic accidents I see each year. All over the country, they claim innocent lives and cause a great deal of hardships.
On Thursday, a motorcyclist died in a collision in Lockport, NY. The incident occurred just after 12 a.m.
John B. Watson, 39, was driving east on Slayton Settlement Road when he drifted over the center line. He collided with several mailboxes and eventually crashed into a guardrail.
The impact threw the man several hundred feet away from his motorcycle. After discovering the motorcyclist in the middle of the road, a witness called police at 12:44 p.m.
The intersection of Slayton Settlement Road and Day Road was closed for several hours as officials investigated the scene.
Wrights Corners Fire Co. and Rural Metro Medical Services were called into the scene.
Unfortunately, Watson was dead when officials arrived.
Investigators are awaiting the results of an autopsy. It may be six weeks before they can determine the cause of this tragic accident.
In the past decade, the number of motorcycle accidents has more than doubled. It is a growing problem that continues to claim hundreds of lives each year. Please, consider the dangers and drive with caution.
We will keep the family in our thoughts and prayers.
