Pedestrian accidents are far too common in Washington State. Each year, countless people are injured in these oftentimes devastating collisions. As a Seattle car accident attorney and Bellevue personal injury lawyer, I know just how destructive these accidents can be, usually causing painful and sometimes, burdensome injuries.
I was upset to learn that a pedestrian was recently injured in a hit-and-run car accident that took place in Mountlake Terrace. The incident occurred last Tuesday.
Larry Nielsen and his daughter, Madeline, were out walking their dog when an SUV drove by and struck Larry. Officials say the driver immediately fled the scene, leaving the injured man in the road.
Larry suffered multiple injuries, including three broken toes, a broken rib, a concussion and a spinal hairline fracture.
The Nielsens were unable to provide any descriptive information regarding the driver and his vehicle. However, officials are continuing their investigation.
We wish Larry a full recovery. We are sorry that they were the victims of such a terrible hit-and-run accident.
