Fatal Pedestrian Accident in Seattle Parking Lot | Seattle Pedestrian Accident Lawyers
As a Washington car accident lawyer and Seattle pedestrian accident attorney, I know just how dangerous the road can be for pedestrians and cyclists. In my career, I have seen many tragic pedestrian accidents, which have caused victim’s great personal injury.
In Seattle, a 67-year-old man died when he was run over in the parking lot of a fast food restaurant. The incident occurred Monday afternoon.
The 37-year-old woman backed out of her parking spot, hitting the man. Witnesses say she got out of the car and began screaming for help.
Police lifted the vehicle to get the man out. Medics administered CPR, but the man died at the scene of the accident.
Investigators do not know what caused the accident. They say the man may have already been on the ground when he was hit. However, it is still unclear.
We are very sorry to learn of this tragic accident. We offer our condolences to the victim’s family.
Unfortunately, many pedestrians are killed each year in auto accidents. Drivers should always watch out for pedestrians. According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, on average a pedestrian is hit every 8 minutes.
