Oftentimes the most dangerous parts about driving is the fatigue that comes with it. Drunk driving accidentsand distracted driving accidents occur frequently as well, but sometimes a natural lack of focus can lead to car accidents. As a Seattle car accident lawyer and Washington wrongful death attorney, I have seen my fair share of fatal car accidents that seem to come without much explanation other than a temporary lapse by one of the drivers.

Around 5:45 p.m. Saturday evening, a well known Seattle music conductor died as a result of a head-on collision in Methow Valley. George Shangrow, who has conducted the Seattle Symphony and many other notable orchestras, was on his way to host the Methow Valley Chamber Music Festival before the accident occurred. Driving down Highway 20, a car from the other side of the road crossed over the median and struck Shangrow’s car head-on. He was declared dead at the scene of the devastating accident, while the other driver, a 16-year-old male sustained collar bone and ankle injuries.

My deepest sympathies go out to the family, friends and fans of George Shangrow, as a tragedy like this is nearly impossible to cope with. Losing a loved family member or friend is an incredibly painful experience. Whether it be in a car accident or not, the last thing that you and your family want to have to deal with or worry about is legal issues and complications. In an attempt to provide you with much deserved help and assistance, I have co-authored a book with attorney Patrick J. Kang which is a guide for families of Washington wrongful death victims. The book is called, In Case of Death: Straight Talk on Washington Wrongful Death, and is available at no charge to Washington residents by clicking on the preceding link.
