Dump Truck Collision in Lynnwood | Lynnwood Truck Accident Attorneys
Large trucks can be very hazardous to other drivers. I generally warn drivers to keep their distance when they see them on the roads. Earlier this week, a dump truck carrying asphalt overturned causing a multiple car collision in Lynnwood. Two people were injured in the accident, which occurred Thursday evening.
The incident happened on Highway 99 at the intersection of 168th Street Southwest.
Lanes in both directions of Highway 99 were closed as officials cleared the scene. They were reopened by 5:25 p.m.
According to Kiro 7 News, at least three cars and the dump truck were involved in the collision.
In the U.S., there are over 500,000 large truck accidents each year. And, according to the United States Department of Transportation, 4,229 people were killed in truck accidents in 2008. So, please be careful of any trucks on the roadways. They can be very dangerous to smaller vehicles.
