In West Seattle, a young girl was critically injured after falling off a zip line near Lincoln Park. Kids fall all the time, but this accident may have caused some serious personal injuries. After the fall, the girl couldn’t get up and became sick, which may be a sign of a head or brain injury. Witnesses claim two people were riding the zip line when the girl fell. Soon after, medics were rushed in and the girl was taken to Harborview Medical Center.

According to the Center for Disease Control, more than 200,000 children in the United States go to the emergency room each year. About seventy percent of these cases occur from playground injuries. Although it oftentimes seems like kids are indestructible, minors suffer serious personal injuries all the time. These injuries can range from minor sprains, to serious head injuries and concussions. In the worst cases, families must spend countless hours in hospitals and are often left to pay very expensive medical bills. What seems like only a minor injury can quickly become a very draining process.

We will keep the girl and her family in our thoughts and prayers and hope she has a full recovery.
