NASCAR Driver Cited For Reckless Driving
Reckless driving is something that endangers not only the life of the driver, but every other person around them. As a Washington State auto accident lawyer I know the dangers of driving excessively fast and my Seattle personal injury law firm helps the victims of personal injury caused by reckless driving on a daily basis.
Yesterday NASCAR driver Kyle Busch was pulled over for going 128 in a 45 mph zone, showing blatant disregard for the law. Busch claims to have been test-driving a new 2012 Lexus sports car when he got carried away when he was pulled over by the Iredell county police in North Carolina. But this isn’t the first time Busch has been cited for reckless driving, he was also given a ticket in 2006 and is currently on probation after a confrontation between him and another racer in the pits after a NASCAR sponsored race. I would like to know what he was doing test-driving a new sports car on a public road that is home to two schools and two churches and any number of lives could have been in serious danger. For now, Busch will still be able to race in upcoming NASCAR events and will face no penalty from the organization.
An auto accident that stems from reckless driving can lead to serious personal injuries and sometimes even the wrongful death of an innocent victim. As a role model to people across the nation, Busch needs to step up and take responsibility for his actions and start setting a good example for those watching his every move.
